Brian’s life was taken suddenly on July 31, 2007 when a car he was driving was struck by a police suspect fleeing pursuit. Brian was 49 years old.

Brian worked in our industry for over 30 years, beginning his career in the Chicago area before moving to Denver. He worked for more than 20 years at Spitzer Industrial Products before joining H.G. Makelim Co. in 2005. Known for superb technical skills and high competence in troubleshooting and problem solving, Brian’s patience and his methodical insistence about “getting it right” were the traits those who worked with him will remember most. As a person, we’ll miss his kindness and helpfulness. He was as good as anyone could be at what he did.

Brian was a loving husband to his wife Susan, father to Shawn, Daniel and Mollee, and a friend and colleague to countless of us within the industry. He will be missed terribly by all who knew and worked with him. We remember him with love and respect.

Brian’s family needs our help! His sudden absence has created a financial void for Su and his children. We at H.G. Makelim Co. are gathering contributions so as to help through this time of need.
